Specialising in all aspects of personal injury law, Jimmy is a senior personal injury lawyer with expertise in workers compensation, negligence, motor vehicle and third party claims. Originally from Canada, he obtained a Criminology and Anthropology degree from the University of Manitoba before immigrating to Australia and completing his law degree at Southern Cross University. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Jimmy’s passion for workplace rights comes from his background working as a steelworker and on the oil rigs of northern Canada. He has seen first-hand the implications of hazardous environments and is a strong advocate and supporter of law reform surrounding compensation for injurious events.

About Alistair Stewart

Alistair relocated to Australia after studying law and criminology at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, and has subsequently become a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is entitled to practise as a solicitor and barrister in the Federal Court system.

His passion is criminal law, but he also engages in commercial matters, human rights cases, and issues of tort law. He has also developed a strong knowledge of procedure and loves litigating in the Local or District Courts.

About Denisha Govendar

Denisha is the Administrative Manager and Client Care Officer at Schofield King Lawyers and has been with the firm since its humble beginnings. She handles the day-to-day tasks of the firm and manages the administration staff. She also works as a senior legal secretary within the firm and will often deal directly with clients, communicating with them on a day to day basis about their claims. Denisha is a qualified paralegal with a strong legal admin background, and worked for the Professional Conduct Department of the NSW Bar Association for most of her working life prior to joining us. She enjoys helping people, and will be happy to assist you with any question you may have and refer you on to a solicitor. Denisha enjoys travelling and is involved in charity work.

She has predominantly worked in compensation and negligence; however, she also has experience in other areas including Commercial Law. Joanne provides ongoing training for the administrative staff ensuring that the most effective and efficient practices and internal procedures are being maintained.

Christine has a B.A. with a major in psychology, is a qualified lawyer and editor and is currently undertaking a diploma in yoga teaching. Christine was admitted to practice as a solicitor into the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2005 and the High Court of Australia in 2008. Before taking a hiatus from full-time work to raise two children and qualify as an editor, she was an Associate at a mid-tier commercial law firm in the Commercial Disputes Group, specialising in complex commercial and finance-related disputes.

Katie is the newest member of the Schofield King team. She joined us in 2016 to support Andrew in the new Port Macquarie Office. She is now a local on the mid north coast having lived in the Port area for a decade. She has been working in law all her life and has 18 years’ experience helping people navigate the law.

Katie is passionate about helping people and that is what she has been involved in criminal and personal injury law for so long. She enjoys the feeling of getting a good result for a client be that through a just decision or an award for compensation. Katie enjoys spending her weekends at the beach, camping or anywhere in the beautiful surrounds of the mid north coast with her family.

Living locally, Nicole recently joined the firm to provide administrative support in our Narellan office, and is excited for the opportunity to help the community she grew up in.

Having a background in office and small business management, Nicole’s friendly, welcoming and positive approach gives her the ability to engage with our clients in a very personal way.  She has a keen eye for detail and always helps alleviate concerns about the daunting legal process.

Outside of the office, Nicole loves everything about nature and discovering new places.  She is an avid wakeboarder and has spent many years performing and choreographing hip hop, ballet, tap and jazz routines.
